Whale watch
The Arctic Right Whales (Eubalaena mysticetus) visit the seashore of Santa Catarina (SC) every year from July to November. They come to the coast to give birth and to feed their young. This tour affords a wonderful opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures. This is their natural birthplace, and they find the calm water and good weather conducive to give birth in.
The boat trip to watch the whales departs from the Praia de Garopaba (Garopaba beach), and visits various beaches in accordance with instructions from biologists who monitor the whales.
We work together with the Instituo Baleia Franca, which means that by joining this tour you will be helping the project that works for the conservation of the whales.
Tour participants must go to Praia de Garopaba, which is in the town of Garopaba, 90 kilometres south of Florianopolis. The boat departs from the right side of the beach.
