The Pousada Ilha dos Anjos Guest House opened in August 2008. It was a dream project for the owner, who has graduated in Hospitality Management.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
Systems followed at the hotel, which are in line with the objective of preserving the nature and saving energy, include:
- using a solar heating system
- illumination of sensitive devices
- using economic lamps and light bulbs
- recycling waste
- putting in place proper sewerage equipment
- water saving project that reduces laundry wasting energy and water
- planned designing with frontal openings for natural ventilation.
All the members of the team are local villagers. Thus, the hotel contributes to the positive development of the community and the individuals.
