Costa Norte Ponta das Canas prides itself on being involved in local community care programs and also helping with nature conservation. They participate in different campaigns which help poor people by collecting clothes, food and money, especially during Christmas and Easter time.

The hotel supports initiatives that help promote local culture. During the high season, there's a folk presentation of "Boi de Mamão", performed once a week by a local group, which introduces important aspects of the local culture that dates back to 1840 from Santa Catarina, to the hotel guests. This provides a sustainable income for the dancers and ensures that the dance form continues to flourish.

Costa Norte Ponta das Canas has its own sewage system, which helps to keep the environment clean and free of pollution.

To preserve nature, the hotel tries to engage the local community in undertaking activities such as collecting materials to be recycled.
