On the three day trip it is possible to explore Florianopolis Island and sight wetland birds like the Tangara Peruviana, the Emberizoides Ypiranganus, the Donacospiza Albifrons; coastal birds like ducks, Pseudoleistes Virescens, owls, blowpipe, frigate, seagulls, the Rallus Longirostris and the Angelasticus Thiliu; and sub-forest birds like hawks, the Ortalis Guttat, humming birds, toucans Ramphastos dicolorous, Ramphastos Vitellinus, Cyanocorax Caeruleus, and Chiroxiphia Caudata among others.
On the five day trip, besides exploring the island of Florianopolis, participants will drive to the State Park of the Tabuleiro Mountains to see the Maciambu Wetland and the Sao Bonifacio Mountains. In the wetland area, participants are likely to catch sight of ducks, hawks, the Phylloscartes kronei, the Manacus manacus and the Amblyramphus holosericeus. Around the Sao Bonifacio Mountains, the Slope Atlantic Forest hides hawks, toucans, psitacideos, hummingbirds, the Aburria Jacuting, the Picumnus Nebulosus, and the Carponis Cucullata among the Araucaia trees, the foggy forest and the highlands.
On the nine day bird watching tour, besides exploring all the locations above, participants will also go to the Araucaria Forest and fields of Urubici and to the coastal town of Itapoá.
