Bike Tour

The bike trips feature pristine beaches, trails in the countryside, rides up and down the hills and showcases some beautiful views.

South of the Island 1: The trail runs through a variety of terrain such as asphalt and sea shore. You will explore some of the preserved beaches of the island, like the Campeche beach, the Morro das Pedras, which is a beautiful lookout point, and Armação, a fishing village. Furthermore, you will explore the beautifull City Park of Lagoa do Peri, the largest natural water lake on the island, surrounded by high green mountains. Take your time to go for a swim in the fresh water!

Difficulty level: easy, 20 km, mostly flat. It takes 3 hours.

South of the island 2: This ride includes all the mentioned stops in the South of the island tour 1, and also explores the countryside of Costa de Cima, and the scenic beaches of Pântano do Sul and Açores. Optional lunch at the seafood buffet in the Bar do Arante.

Difficulty level: average, 30 km, bike up some hills. It takes 6 hours.

Barra da Lagoa: Explore different areas that surround the island´s most famous postacard, the lake Lagoa da Conceição. Start at the beautiful beach of Barra da Lagoa, and ride through the forest of the State Park of Rio Vermelho, until you get to the wild Moçambique beach. Ride back through this beautiful, wild beach.

Difficulty level: easy, 20 km, flat. It takes 3 hours.

Cachoeira do Amancio: This bike tour is in the country side, on the mainland. The ride goes through tranquil rural dirty roads, along a bucolic and scenic ways, until you get to the great waterfall Cachoeira do Amancio, where you can go for revigorating swim! Optional lunch at an ecological retreat in the area.

Difficulty level: average, 100% dirty roads, 35 to 45 km, bike up some hills. It takes 6 hours.
